it has been a life long wait and finally it has come. ever since i was a child growing up, i've been fascinated with japanese culture. mainly for their food and anime (yes i am a nerd). couple months ago, this trip was just an open discussion that was thrown up in the air. it was discussed back n forth for quite some time and it was never concrete. we finally got our tickets at the cost of $1860 per person for the flights to tokyo, hong kong, and shanghai. origninally we were hoping that all of us would be able to go together on this trip (myself, randy, albert, alvin, eric). unfortunately, eric and alvin were not able to make it. the three of us are still exstatic and are definately going to create a memorible adventure. i won't be visiting my pops in taiwan at the conclusion of this asiatic tour. although it was originally planned by my brother n i.
the thought of asia always sends tingly sensations down my spine. i admit, i have an asian fetish. i find asian girls more attractive than than the rest, i find my self enjoying asian food more often than the rest, and i use chopsticks to eat spaghetti. if i am able to earn a living in asia, i would move there in a heart beat. unfortunately, my chinese speaking skills are very limited and i'm not intelligent enough to create the 'supply' for asia's 'demand'. although our main purpose for this trip was for leisure, theres definately room for learning experience. i'm young and have no wife/kids and its wiser to be reckless (business ventures/foreign investments) now than later. ten more days... exciting!
